The Basement is pleased to announce that The Rock Bottoms, a duo made up of Dan Sealy (bass player from Ocean Colour Scene) and Adam Barry (from Merrymouth) will be performing live in Edinburgh on Thursday 5th February.
Singer-songwriter Scott McWatt from Glasgow will open the night with a live acoustic set at 8pm. Still in his 20s, Scott has already released two critically acclaimed albums and played internationally. His latest single “Glasgow (Your Heart is Made of Gold)” is raising money for the victims and families of the George Square Crash.
The Rock Bottoms set will run from 9pm-11pm. Dan Sealy and Adam Barry are both members of the trio folk-orientated band Merrymouth as well as The Rock Bottoms. In Merrymouth the men are joined by Ocean Colour Scene songwriter and vocalist Simon Fowler, their critically acclaimed debut self titled album “Merrymouth” was released in 2012 and the band toured throughout 2012 and 2013. Dan Sealy joined Ocean Colour Scene in 2003 after Damon Minchella left the band, he toured with Ocean Colour Scene throughout 2004 and is featured on some of their recorded material. The English duo will perform an acoustic set showcasing their musical talent.
The Basement hosts a number of musical events including their regular Sunday Sessions featuring impressive live performances showcasing local artists and DJs.
